Australia v India 3rd ODI Preview
The Australians have their eyes on a clean sweep in Canberra on Wednesday afternoon when they host India for the third and final ODI at Manuka Oval.
Sydney turned into a bit of a stomping ground for Steve Smith and there is nothing to suggest the Aussies can’t dominate again heading into the Test Series.
With cricket back in full swing, we’ve previewed the entire third ODI below!
Match Betting
Dave Warner’s groin injury has dealt a slight blow to the Australians, but it’s still difficult to fade them even at the $1.50 mark.
Steve Smith is on a completely different level right now notching back-to-back centuries over the last five days and it is difficult to imagine this depleted Indian bowling lineup coming up with an answer.
Further down the order, the likes of Marnus Labuschagne and Glenn Maxwell have carried the load nicely, whilst the same can’t be said of the Indian attack.
Virat Kohli turned his form around on Sunday with a strong 89 runs off 87 balls, but the loss of Rohit Sharma has really left the top of the order exposed as Mayank Agarwal has struggled.
Perhaps the equalizer in this third match will be the Manuka Oval pitch, which should be reasonably slower than the flat, high-scoring deck we saw at the SCG in the first two games.
The weather should also be significantly kinder as the players escape the Sydney heatwave for some relief down in Canberra.
Sydney was tough on the bowlers, so we should see the Australian spinners play more of a part in this match.
On the other side, the Indian quicks struggled mightily with their pace depth at the SCG, so they too should play more of a part in Canberra.
Overall though, India has shown signs of rust from a long nine-month layoff, while the Australians are white hot after playing over in the UK.
With a chance to really gain some momentum heading into the Tests, back the Aussies to bring out the brooms.

India Top Wicket Taker
Mohammed Shami’s three-wicket performance was one of the bright spots for India in the first ODI and there is enormous value on offer for him to repeat that performance.
As mentioned earlier, the Manuka pitch should be much kinder to the Indian bowling attack after struggling to find swing in the previous two games.
There’s no denying Kohli has mis-managed his bowlers so far, but if India can get more out of the new ball, a guy like Shami should reap the rewards.

Australia Top Wicker Taker
Josh Hazlewood reminded everyone why he is one of the world’s top fast bowlers with a huge three-wicket haul in the first ODI.
The Australians will sense this final limited overs match as a chance to really intimidate the Indian batsman heading into the First Test, so expect plenty early and often from Hazlewood with Pat Cummins missing.

India Top Runscorer
Kohli made up for his mistake in the first match with a stunning 89 run effort on Sunday.
He’s also one of the few players in the Indian lineup with some experience playing at Manuka Oval, which just so happened to be the site of his 25th ODI ton back in 2016.

Australia Top Runscorer
Steve Smith is impossible to argue against in this spot, but if you’re looking to bet away from the favourite, don’t sleep on Aaron Finch.
The captain had himself a century last Friday and another 60 off 69 balls on Sunday, but perhaps more impressively, he’s also scored a century twice in two ODI’s in Canberra.
With Warner gone, his opening partnership will be crucial to Australia’s chances and Finch’s recent form suggests he’s more than capable of leading the way.
