1998 – 400 for Marino

Dan Marino from the Miami Dolphins became the first player in the history of the NFL to throw 400 touchdown passes on this day in 1998.

Marino would reach the milestone with a 7 yard TD pass to O.J. McDuffie as the Dolphins recorded a 30-10 win against  the New Orleans Saints in Miami.

Marino would retire in 1999 with a total of 420 touchdown passes.

1994 – Warne Tears Up Gabba

Shane Warned notched up 8 for 71 in 50.2 overs in what is regarded as the best bowling performance by an Aussie at the Gabba in the first Test against England.

The Poms never stood a chance, set 508 to win in just over 5 sessions, the vistors were disimissed for 323 with Australia going on to win by 184 runs.
