Rosehill - Race 3 2:25pm AEDT
Construct is the horse to beat in the Canonbury Stakes.
The I Am Invincible colt made his racing debut with a second-place finish in the Breeders’ Plate and the form coming out of that race has been strong – the winner Shaquero went on to take out the Magic Millions Classic.
He has trialed nicely ahead of his return to the races and can stamp himself as a genuine Golden Slipper contender.
Rosehill - Race 7 5:00pm AEDT
Flit is the value runner in what is a very open edition of the Expressway Stakes.
The Godolphin mare has an excellent first-up record, and she is capable of a high-rating performance on her day, which she showed when she won The Silver Eagle during her Spring Racing Carnival campaign.
She has tactical versatility, and it wouldn’t surprise to see Rachel King ride her aggressively from barrier eight.
Caulfield - Race 5 3:20pm AEDT
Tagaloa will return to the races for the first time since he failed to fire in the Caulfield Guineas.
He hasn’t recorded a race win since he took out the Blue Diamond Stakes, but he has always competed at the highest level and the Manfred Stakes looks like the right race for him.
Mark Zahra can settle him right on the speed and he will have every possible chance in the run.
Caulfield - Race 6 4:00pm AEDT
Elderflower is on the quick back-up after winning the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge at The Valley last Friday night and she has an excellent chance to continue her winning ways.
The talented mare has speed to burn and Campbell Rawiller will be able to take her straight to the front in the early stages of this contest.
It will take a good horse to run her down.
