European Football Preview – January 30
There’s action aplenty all over Europe this weekend with the football seasons continuing through the winter months.
We’ve got our five best bets across four of the biggest football leagues in the world having scoured the markets for the best value plays.

Eintracht Frankfurt Vs Hertha Berlin
Sunday 31 January, 1:30am, Deutsche Bank Park
Free scoring Frankfurt should make fairly short work of Hertha here as the addition of Luka Jovic proving to be a shrewd bit of business by management.
Having just put five past Bielefeld, there is no reason to think they shouldn’t destroy Hertha who have lost three of their last four and given up seven goals in their last two matches.
Frankfurt should score at least three here and I would not be at all surprised if it was five again.

Montpellier Vs Lens
Sunday 31 January, 3:00am, Stade de la Mosson
It feels like an eternity since Montpellier won Ligue 1 and they are now one of the value sides to back against, as they are currently on a seven match unless run.
They have conceded multiple goals in seven of their last eight matches and were dismantled 4-0 by PSG in their last outing.
Lens recent run of results is not exactly inspiring but they have at least been somewhat resolute defensively, conceding three goals in their last four matches.
More than anything else though, it’s a good value play to get any opponent of Montpellier at this price.

Getafe Vs Alaves
Monday 1 February, 12:00am, Coliseum Alfonso Perez
I’m willing to forgive Getafe for their capitulation against Bilbao during the week, mostly because they appear to be at a very tempting price against out of form Alaves.
The visitors have lost their last four matches in all competitions and have not won a La Liga match since before Christmas.
This is another one where it’s not worth over thinking.

Cagliari Vs Sassuolo
Sunday 31 January, 1:30am, Sardegna Arena
It has not been a great run of results for Sassuolo, but they have a perfect get right opportunity against a hapless Cagliari side.
Six straight Serie A defeats and a winless run that dates back to late November have them staring down the barrel of relegation.
Sassuolo should be able to break their skid here and at this price I’ll back them to do just that.

Nantes Vs AS Monaco
Monday 1 February, 7:00am, Stade de la Beaujoire
Another Ligue 1 side in a horrid run of form is Nantes, who have not won since November 9.
Since then they have taken just seven points from 12 matches while Monaco has won its last four matches and five of its last six.
This is another price seems off given the form lines and history of both sides, Monaco have won the last five meetings between the teams and I’ll back them to make it six.
