Kah’s Rise To Prominence No Surprise To Boss

Hình ảnh
Jamie Kah’s incredible rise to prominence over the past 12 months has taken many industry insiders by surprise, but not fellow hoop Glen Boss. Boss has revealed, in the Ladbrokes Group 1 Year In Review series, that he identified Kah as a serious talent when she was a teenager at apprentice school and it has come as no shock to him that Kah has been able to dominate the Australian riding ranks this season. “I use to go to Adelaide at least twice a year to go to the apprentice school and I’ve seen her as a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old kid,” Boss said. “I used to walk away, and this is no word of a lie, and I’d say I think I’ve seen a star. “I said that this kid is something special. “There was just something about her. “When I spoke at these meetings, she would never take her eyes off you and always wanted to stay and talk after it. “When I got her on the pusher on the horse you could just see something different about her. “She had great balance and she had a great background b

2021 Caloundra Cup Day Preview

The Winter Racing Carnival comes to a close this Saturday on the Sunshine Coast with the running of the Listed Caloundra Cup between the stayers. Heavy rain throughout the week currently has the track rated a Heavy 8, making this a tough program for punters to navigate. To help you out, we’ve analysed each race in our 2021 Caloundra Cup Day Preview below! Race 1 - 12:53pm Reed Racing Class 6 Handicap (1600m) Indispensable really hasn’t put a foot wrong this time in work as he gets back to his home track looking to break a run of recent placings. Gary Duncan’s four-year-old won over the mile at Ballarat earlier in his prep and is also proven on heavy going with a win and a placing to his name from two starts. Prospectus is the obvious danger after beating Indispensable at Ipswich two weeks ago. He was very impressive once he found daylight down the straight and is capable of going on with it now. The Chris Waller-trained four-year-old loves racing over this trip and he shoul

Who Will Win the EURO 2020 Golden Boot?

Hình ảnh
With just 7 matches remaining the Euro Golden Boot race is coming to a close. The field is chasing Cristiano Ronaldo who is searching for his first Euro Golden Boot in his record 5th appearance at the Euros. The question is will anybody be able to track Ronaldo down. Can England win EURO 2020? UEFA EURO 2020 Golden Boot | The Frontrunners Cristiano Ronaldo (5 goals) – Ronaldo did his part netting 5 goals in just 4 games. Portugal was not able to get past Belgium in the knockout stage leaving the race out of Ronaldo’s hands. Patrik Schick (4 goals) – The Czech Republic forward scored arguably the most impressive goal of the tournament thus far. He netted a 50-yard goal against Scotland in the group stage and has netted 3 goals since. Romelu Lukaku (3 goals) – Lukaku has been a key part of Belgium’s success in this tournament leading them to a 4-0-0 undefeated record to this point. Kyle Schwarber MVP Potential

Hình ảnh
Who is Kyle Schwarber Kyle Schwarber is a 28-year-old left fielder for the Washington Nationals that has never made an All-Star team; yet he has soared in the MVP conversation after a historical stretch, the likes of which have rarely been seen before. The first-year member of the Nats has hit 16 home runs in his last 18 games , including a jaw-dropping performance against the New York Mets during which he hit three home runs. Eight days later the red-hot Schwarber socked two balls over the outfield fence, prompting Mets’ manager, Luis Rojas, to offer a concession speech after the game. “We’ve tried everything,” said Rojas. “This guy is swinging a hot bat.” Historical Impact Swinging a hot bat does not do the lefty enough justice, however; Schwarber’s 16 homers this month are the most in Major-League history for a leadoff batter, and he joined Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa as the only players to hit 15 homers in a seventeen-game stretch. To put this in perspective, Bonds is the M

Race 1 - 1:59pm AEST Westspeed Platinum Handicap (1600m) Run D’affaire Run will take winning form into the first on Aquanita Stakes Day and looks well placed to win again. The four-year-old son of Gingerbread Man returned to the races with a nice effort to finish second, beaten less than a length by Captain Burglar here at Belmont before saluting at Pinjarra. Fitter third-up and sticking to a mile, this looks a great opportunity to win in Town again. 3 Units Run D’affaire Run Bet Now: Belmont Race 1 Race 2 - 2:39pm AEST Breast Cancer Research Centre Of WA Plate (1000m) Beads broke his maiden here at Belmont a fortnight ago and can continue his rise through the grades on Saturday. How to Win Football Accumulators

As a football punter, there’s no better feeling than landing a big accumulator. The problem is actually knowing how to win football accumulators! Big football accumulators aren’t easy to pull off. Let’s face it, if they were, there’d be no bookmakers. But some professional football tipsters make a living placing smaller accumulators that are aimed to provide themselves and their followers with a tidy profit over the course of a season. Researching Selections For Football Accumulators Winning football accumulators doesn’t come easy for most football tipsters. They put in hours of research, including studying current form, past head-to-heads, current gossip, and how teams play with or without key players in their starting line-ups. Picking selections for your football accas is not just about finding winners, it’s also about including selections that are available at value odds. By value, we mean the odds are bigger than you think they should be. For example, if you think Manchester

Why the Transfer Portal Needs Retooling

Hình ảnh
In the spring the NCAA made the long overdue decision to allow football and men’s and women’s basketball players the freedom to transfer one time without penalty, the consequences have been unprecedented. For years the NCAA required student-athletes competing in football or basketball to sit-out a season after transferring. Every other college sport allowed athletes to transfer without any sit-out rule. Essentially, the NCAA said that student-athletes in the three big sports shouldn’t have the same rights as regular college students. That is no longer the landscape of college sports. What is the transfer portal? On Oct. 15, 2018, the NCAA introduced the transfer portal , a virtual world of college athletes to explore their transfer options across college sports. Players don’t need to ask permission from their school or their coaching staff to enter the transfer portal. Instead, student athletes simply need to submit a request to their school’s NCAA compliances office to enter the

Bendigo - Race 2 1:30pm AEST No. 5 Miles Ahead Miles Ahead is deserving of his status as a dominant favourite for this contest. Miles Ahead has been racing in stronger company than this and this really does look like a genuine drop in class. Barrier three is ideal for him and he should have every possible chance in the run. Bet Now: Bendigo Race 2 Bendigo - Race 3 2:00pm AEST No. 10 Toomuchtobear Toomuchtobear has drawn horribly and will need luck in running from barrier 20, but he is still the horse to beat in this contest. He has been racing well without winning in his two race starts this campaign and a repeat of that sort of effort would be more than good enough to win this race. Damian Lane will settle him in the second half of the field and he will be storming home in the concluding stages of the race. With EURO 2020 Favorite France Out, It’s England’s Tournament to Lose

Hình ảnh
In an absolute shock result on late Monday night going into the wee hours of Tuesday morning, the defending world cup champions and heavily favored France was eliminated in the Round of 16 of the Euro 2020 . Who were they eliminated by? Well, of course, the football powerhouse of Switzerland . Not only did France play down to their competition, but they also were just not their true selves at all this entire tournament, including the group stages. Drawing against Hungary should have been a rude awakening for this French side as they barely squeaked past Germany and Portugal to win Group F , a group that many people expected France to win with ease. What Went Wrong for France? Almost everything went wrong for the world champions. Young superstar forward Kylian Mbappe was not able to score a single goal this entire tournament, which is usually a bad sign for any team that he’s on. Their defense was not great throughout the group stage except for Raphael Varane. There were re

2021 Flemington Finals Day Preview

It’s one of winter’s most highly anticipated race days each year and Flemington Finals Day will take place at HQ on Saturday. The rail will remain in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Soft (5) range. Race 1 - 11:50am Sofitel Next Generation Sprinters Series Final (1200m) There isn’t much form to take in ahead of the first on Flemington Finals Day, but I’m going to have something on The Art Of Flying. The Art Of Flying stamped himself as a runner to follow during a short debut prep in summer and finished second in the Inglis Banner at The Valley and third in the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes most notably. He needed the run when third over 1108m at Sale when resuming, but I’m confident that will have brought him right on. 3 Units The Art Of Flying Bet Now: Flemington Race 1 Race 2 - 12:25pm Silver Bowl Series Final (1600m) Seb Song looks up to winning the Silver Bowl Series Final. 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic Preview

The PGA Tour heads back to the Detroit Golf Club on Friday (AEDT) for the third edition of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Defending champion Bryson Dechambeau has been installed as the only single-digit chance after dominating off the tee last year, but there is a case to be made for several names in the market with low scores and plenty of birdies expected right across the weekend. With the Open Championship right around the corner, find out who we’re backing at this year’s Rocket Mortgage Classic below. Rocket Mortgage Classic Best Bet Hideki Matsuyama – $15.00 Aside from a rough weekend at The Memorial last month, the 2021 Masters champ really hasn’t put a foot wrong since he prevailed at Augusta to become Japan’s first major champion. Matsuyama now heads to Detroit well-rested following a T26 at Torrey Pines, and I think the course should suit his style of play perfectly as it tends to favour guys that can consistently strike their irons. The Detroit Golf Club is very fla

Rosehill Gardens Preview – Saturday 3rd July

A whopping ten races will be run and won at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, July 3 rd . The rail will be set out three metres around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Heavy (8) range. Race 1 - 11am Cleanaway Handicap (1300m) Bazooka needed the run when finishing sixth, beaten more than three lengths at Rosehill Gardens a fortnight ago, but I’m confident he’ll take plenty of improvement into Race 1 this week. The Smart Missile gelding returned several typically strong performances during the autumn and ended his prep sixth behind Hungry Heart in the Phar Lap Stakes. He has a class edge over most of these rivals and will take beating. 3 Units Bazooka Bet Now: Rosehill Gardens Race 1 Race 2 - 11:35am Highway Class 3 Handicap (1100m) I’m very keen on Hellenism in this week’s Highway Handicap. The Helmet has been a clear standout for Coffs Harbour horseman Aiden St Vincent since arriving in his care, and she returned from a long brea
