Ladbrokes Park Preview – Wednesday 2nd March
Eight races will be run and won at Ladbrokes Park Sandown on Wednesday, March 2nd.
The rail will be set out nine metres around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range.
Race 1 - 3:05pm AEDT
There’s little form to study ahead of the first at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
I can’t find anything that I am particularly confident in, and I am going to stay out.

Race 2 - 3:40pm AEDT
This is a drop in class for Va Via, and she can break her maiden.
The daughter of Astern has made three appearances at the races since debuting, filling the minors in two contests at Flemington before finishing a credible sixth in the Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude.
She is the only horse in this field with raceday experience, and she is ready to win.

Race 3 - 4:15pm AEDT
All Stardom can record another win third-up at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
The All Too Hard gelding proved too good for a decent BM64 field at Stony Creek first-up from a spell, and he only just missed when second, beaten a head here last time out.
Fitter third-up, he’ll take plenty of beating.
5 Units All Stardom
Race 4 - 4:50pm AEDT
Crystal Chief faces a rise in class at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, but he was an eye-catching winner at Pakenham last time, and this looks the next logical step.
The Matt Ellerton-trained gelding needed his first start back when finishing midfield here earlier last month, but he proved too good for a BM64 field last time after mustering an eye-catching turn of foot.
Fitter third-up, he needs only even luck to be in the finish again.
4 Units Crystal Chief
Race 5 - 5:25pm AEDT
The rise in trip should suit Demando when she takes her place in Race 5 at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
Demando has continued to improve with each of her four starts back from a spell this time, and she found the line well when second at a similar grade here last time, over 1300m.
Out to a mile suits, she’s at peak fitness and with even luck, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be fighting out the finish again.

Race 6 - 6pm AEDT
This is one of the more open races on the program, and a horse like Zidler rates as a key winning chance at a lovely price ($7 at publish).
Zidler is another horse who has continued to improve with each of his three starts back this time, and he takes his place in this race following a credible third placing in BM64 company at The Valley.
Damien Oliver has options in running from the rails draw, and we can have an each-way play at the price.
2 Units E/W Zidler
Race 7 - 6:30pm AEDT
Yukon is ready to win when he takes his place in the seventh at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.
The Vancouver gelding hasn’t been far away at any of his three starts back this time, and he led home a wall of horses to finish second behind an impressive Main Stage at Randwick-Kensington last time.
He’s another galloper who steps out this week in peak fitness, and he is primed to strike.
5 Units Yukon
Race 8 - 7pm AEDT
The consistent Pounding will go around in the last at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday, and I’m confident that he can win.
The Exceed And Excel gelding charged in to score in Class 1 company at Pakenham three starts back, and he has finished in the minors of his last two races, both here at Ladbrokes Park.
He’s rock-hard fit and won’t be offered a better opportunity to strike in metro company.
