Daily Harness Tips – Wednesday, 28th September

Redcliffe - Race 1 5:52pm AEST

No. 2 Mystical Jazz

Open contest to start the night here with a stack of hopes, but Mystical Jazz looks to have as good a chance as any.

She is second up for the new stable and her effort on this track first up was encouraging when chasing home the flying Ima Birubi Boy in slick time.

She gets the front line this time around, looks like finding the pegs first and whether she goes for an all the way win or elects to trail a suitable runner she should shake the life out of this.

Redcliffe - Race 2 6:24pm AEST

No. 5 Marianna Bromac

Marianna Bromac was well-found in the market last week on this circuit first up for the new camp and although she was beaten convincingly behind stable mate Courageous Sam her effort was more than sound as she got a long way out of her ground in a race that just didn’t pan out for her.

Tonight’s assignment looks a much easier and with a touch of luck from the tricky gate she should go very close.

Redcliffe - Race 4 7:20pm AEST

No. 1 The Irish Eagle

The Irish Eagle was taken off the arm here last start and was chasing pretty much every step of the way when a strong fourth behind Delightful Reason in quick time for the 1780m.

He had been racing in great heart at Albion Park prior and his previous visit to this circuit resulted in a solid victory from a back line draw.

He gets the perfect gate tonight, can lead or at worst trail the speed and whatever role he is in he is sure to be hard to beat.

Redcliffe - Race 7 8:54pm AEST

No. 7 Augusta Hanover

Augusta Hanover is on debut here and the Jonah Hutchinson-trained mare by Badlands Hanover might be the way to go in what is a very thin maiden affair.

She comes off a trail effort at Wagga 12 days ago when second behind a smart one where they dashed home in 26.4 for the last 400m.

With all due respect to her rivals tonight, none of these will ever clock a quarter like that, so with an ounce of luck from the inside of the second line she really should be too good for them.

Redcliffe - Race 9 4:33pm AEST

No. 1 Prospectus

Cradock will run the favourite here and he does have a great chance, but he seems to be lacking that killer instinct of late, so with that in mind Prospectus looks a much better option on an each way basis.

She resumes off a 5-month layoff tonight but has had the benefit of a trial hit out on this track 13 days ago where she was just pipped on the stick by Kelly Louise, who has won since, so there is a nice form reference there.

She gets the ideal draw, can sit just off the pace and be ready to threaten once the passing lane becomes available.
