2022 Kennedy Oaks Day Preview
The Flemington Carnival continues on Thursday with another card of quality racing taking place at headquarters.

Race 1 - 12:40pm AEDT
Matron Bullwinkel returned to the races with a sixth first up at Geelong which was the first time she had finished outside the top two in four career starts.
The lightly raced four year old mare had absolutely no luck in that first up run and she found the line well when clear.
The step up in distance suits and she’s the one to beat in the opening race of the afternoon.

Race 2 - 1:15pm AEDT
Not a lot of exposed form to assess in the second and I’m happy to stay out from a betting perspective.

Race 3 - 1:50pm AEDT
Roots was impressive winning two in a row before heading to the Group 3 Tesio Stakes on Cox Plate Day.
The four year old mare was only narrowly denied in that race on a heavy 8 and James McDonald jumps on from barrier nine.
2 Units Roots
Race 4 - 2:30pm AEDT
Bonheur is a filly with a fair amount of ability who will be ready to peak at her third run this prep.
She broke her maiden at Moe first up and while she was no match for them in the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude, she was beaten only 4.5 lengths.
The drop back in class will suit and while she’ll need some luck from barrier 20, she represents good each way value.

Race 5 - 3:10pm AEDT
Douceur is going better than her form on paper suggests.
She kick started her campaign with a fifth in the Group 2 Rose Of Kingston Stakes at Flemington but she has placed in two of her previous three starts at headquarters.
This is a significant drop in class and she’s worth an each way bet at around $14.

Race 6 - 3:50pm AEDT
Zoustyle is low key flying right at the moment and the seven year old has placed in all three of his starts so far this prep.
He was beaten less than a length in two Group 2 events and third in the Group 1 Moir Stakes and he carries the same weight in this Listed event.
Taunting is one that appeals at double figure odds also having placed in all four runs this prep which includes two wins in South Australia.

Race 7 - 4:30pm AEDT
Atmoic Gold continues to go from strength to strength as he steps up in class and the lightly raced four year old has now won four of seven overall.
He’s won his last three in a row by a combined 8+ lengths and although this is another step up in class, he is nice each way odds.
Clearly loves a rain effected track.

Race 8 - 5:10pm AEDT
She’s Extreme is not bred to stay but you can win the Oaks on class alone and she has plenty of that!
The Group 1 winning filly will be hoping that the rain continues to fall and I don’t want to be losing on the race if she wins.
Renaissance Woman showed an enormous turn of foot to take out the Group 3 Ethereal Stakes and then finished within three lengths of Sharp ‘N’ Smart in the Spring Champion.
That’s the right form to follow, she will be better on top of the ground should the weather fine up and she is bred to stay the 2500m.

Race 9 - 5:50pm AEDT
The Maher and Eustace camp have quite an opinion of their I Am Invincible filly Greece but have been waiting for a dry track to run her which she may get on Thursday.
She won her maiden by four lengths at Geelong first up this prep proving she has a fair amount of ability and she is every chance of taking out the last on Oaks day.
