Indiana Pacers Vs Oklahoma City Thunder
9:10am, Gainbridge Fieldhouse
I’m reluctant to use the word “tank”, but it sure feels like the Pacers have packed it in with only a couple of weeks remaining on the NBA season.
Indiana has lost seven of its last 10 games and four straight, not surprising for a team that has been missing Buddy Hield, Myles Turner, and Tyrese Haliburton down the stretch.
The Pacers have nothing left to play for, but the same can’t be said for a Thunder team that suddenly sits 10th in the West and just one game off the seventh seed Timberwolves.
OKC has been playing good ball of late, and they’ve also hold their own against the Pacers covering in five of their last seven meetings.
Matchup wise, the Thunder have a real advantage in most areas other than field-goal percentage, and with a stellar 17-12 record against the spread in non-conference games, I’m happy to back them to cover.
Tip: Back the Thunder to Cover the Line (-3.5 Points) @ $1.90
Boston Celtics Vs Utah Jazz
9:30am, TD Garden
We’ve got another interesting cross-conference game here between the Celtics and Jazz.
Boston head back to the Garden fresh from a massive win over the Bucks yesterday in Milwaukee, while Utah is still fighting for a play-in spot through a long list of injuries.
The Jazz have done well to keep their heads above water, but I do have my doubts with Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, and Kelly Olynyk all day-to-day.
The Celtics have been an outstanding bet on no rest this year, covering in eight of their 11 games played. Utah has also struggled on the road over the last month, not to mention the fact they were handed a 20+ point loss pastime they visited Boston.
Tip: Back the Celtics to Cover the Line
