2022 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Preview

The iconic Northern California coastline comes into focus this week as the Pebble Beach Pro-Am tees off on Friday (AEDT).  A three-course rotation featuring Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club will play host to 156 golfers, headlined by last year’s winner Daniel Berger, and last week’s playoff victim, Will Zalatoris.  Aussie Jason Day is looking to build on last week’s tie for third at the Farmers, while Patrick Cantlay remains the single-priced favourite in the field.  Will we see another long-shot upset similar to last week’s Luke List?  Find out who we’re tipping in our 2022 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Preview below! Pebble Beach Pro-Am Betting Strategy:  1 Unit Jordan Spieth  1 Unit Matt Kuchar  1 Unit Justin Rose Top 10 0.5 Unit Seamus Power  0.5 Unit Matthew NeSmith Pebble Beach Pro-Am Best Bet Jordan Spieth – $19.00  Spieth missed the cut last week at the Farmers for the first time since he played the same tournament last year. 10 Sports People With Racing Backgrounds

As part of our Ladbrokes Presents series we profiled former Fremantle Docker Hayden Ballantyne and his post football career of training race horses in Western Australia. The star small forward grew up watching his father within the racing industry and has forged his own path after he retired from the AFL. But he is certainly not the only sportsman to have an affiliation with the three codes of racing in this country, and below we have listed 10 Sports People With Racing Backgrounds. 10. Hayden Ballantyne He was a crafty, and sometimes annoying, small forward when he wore the purple and white for Fremantle but he has traded those colours for red and white during his short training career. If you own a horse with him maybe you can get some payback and constantly ring him and annoy him about how your horse is going? 9. Kevin Sheedy What’s the easiest way to get involved in this great game other than having a punt? Owning a share of course. The Richmond and Essendon legendary p

Randwick-Kensington Preview – Wednesday 2nd February

Randwick-Kensington will host Sydney’s metro program on Wednesday, February 2 nd , and seven races are on the card. The rail will be left in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range. Race 1 - 2:20pm AEDT Vinery Plate (1100m) Devil’s Throat takes his place in this field second-up, and following a close-up second placing in the Magic Millions Maiden. Off that run and on exposed form he is clearly the one to beat, but the $1.70 about him at publish is too short for me, and I am happy to watch. No Bet Bet Now: Kensington Race 1 Race 2 - 2:55pm AEDT Maiden Plate (1000m) I was quite impressed with Himalaism’s debut performance, and he can break his maiden at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday. Himalaism showed ability at the trials prior to debuting, and he returned an eye-catching effort for third behind Fireburn in a Saturday race on the main course here at Randwick. He’s six weeks between starts, bu

Ladbrokes Park Preview – Wednesday 2nd February

Eight races will be run and won at Ladbrokes Park Sandown on Wednesday, February 2 nd . The rail will be set out four metres around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range. Race 1 - 3:40pm AEDT Ladbroke It! Handicap (1300m) Just one of the seven confirmed starters in the first at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday has raceday experience, and there are several debutants prominent in the market. I am happy to stay out of this one, with a view towards something later in the season. No Bet Bet Now: Ladbrokes Park Race 1 Race 2 - 4:15pm AEDT Ladbrokes Switch Plate (1400m) I thought that there was a lot to like about Healing Game’s late work on debut, and he can break his maiden at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday. The Tivaci gelding was settled at the tail of the field by Ethan Brown at Cranbourne last month, and he mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to fill the minors. He’ll enjoy plenty of improvement for that effort and he can s

Socceroos World Cup Qualifier Preview – Matchday 8 v Oman

Matchday 8 of the AFC World Cup Qualifying Third Phase sees the Socceroos heading to Muscat to take on Oman. Following on from their 4-0 win over Vietnam in Melbourne, Australia will be looking to build on that result as they try and secure a direct path to Qatar and avoid the dreaded playoff route. We’ve got our World Cup Qualifier preview and best bets below so read on and see what we are backing in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The Lay of the Land Heading into Matchday 8, Australia is sitting in third place in Group B behind Saudi Arabia and Japan, who face off in Saitama on Tuesday evening. The hosts are on seven points and need to win out to make up a seven point and 11 goal difference on the Australians, so they have no margin for error and will be desperate to keep their World Cup hopes alive. Depending on the final score both in Saitama and Muscat, Australia can secure a top three finish in the group with at least a draw in their match. If they draw with Oman and

Stony Creek - Race 5 3:30pm AEDT No. 3 Handful Handful is having his fourth run back and looks set to peak out over 2000m for the second time.  The son of Dundeel failed to make up any ground in his last start at Cranbourne, but he should find this a touch easier dropping back in grade.  The runner-up from that race went on to win at Geelong last week, and he should be plenty fit at this stage of his prep.  Bet Now: Stony Creek Race 5 Stony Creek - Race 6 4:00pm AEDT No. 1 Xingyun Xingyun was a narrow winner over the mile two back at Colac and returns on the quick backup after a luckless run in transit last week at Kilmore.  The Feek-trained galloper copped some interference early on and never really settled, but getting fitter, this does look a nice race for him to atone fourth-up.  The five-year-old has missed the frame only three times from seven starts over 1600m, and he has run some good races on the short backup previously.  Bet Now: Stony Creek Race 6 Stony

5 Lessons Learned – NFL Conference Championships

The wild and wonderful NFL Playoffs continued with two epic conference championship games on Monday morning. Cincinnati and Los Angeles will face off in Super Bowl LVI in SoFi Stadium in two weeks. And then there were two… pic.twitter.com/HeJb2gz1bV — Sports Illustrated (@SInow) January 31, 2022 There was no shortage of storylines from the AFC & NFC Championship and we are recapping them all in our 5 Lessons Learned post here. 1 – Mahomes Blew It Taking nothing away from the Bengals, the biggest reason Kansas City did not advance to a third straight Super Bowl was Patrick Mahomes putting together an all time choke job in the second half. It followed a first half where he was almost robotic, helping the Chiefs build a 21-3 lead thanks to insane moments like this that have become the norm for him. "The dance moves for Mahomes pay off!" – @tonyromo Chiefs TD. pic.twitter.com/xxeTvMR04S (via @NFL ) — NFL on CBS (@NFLonCBS) January 30, 2022 But followi

Sale - Race 5 2:50pm AEDT No. 2 Estoril Park Estoril Park has won only once from 14 starts, but this does look a winnable contest for her stepping back in class. She was unlucky not to score when a narrow third two back at Caulfield, and she was only 1.5L off the winner in her latest at The Valley. This is a slightly easier race, and with a couple of placings to her name on rain-affected going, she’s the one to beat. Bet Now: Sale Race 5 Sale - Race 6 3:25pm AEDT No. 5 Crystal Chief Crystal Chief is back on the scene for the first time in close to 10 months. The son of Written Tycoon has made only six starts in his lightly-raced career and has typically been competitive over 1100m with a win and a place to his name from two starts. He won his maiden fresh two years ago and has raced well at Caulfield and Flemington in the past. Damien Thornton steers and the pair should be doing their best work late. Best Bookies In Brazil

Like many other South American countries, Brazil seems to be in the ‘grey zone when it comes to online gambling.’ In Brazil, gambling hasn’t always been easy. It has been outright outlawed at times over the last couple of decades. However, things have recently improved. Nowadays, online sports betting is entirely legal, and many of the best betting sites worldwide accept Brazilian bettors. Whether you want to bet on football, volleyball, or anything else, do it at the best odds on the sites mentioned below. Rosehill - Race 6 3:20pm AEDT No. 7 Casino Kid Casino Kid made it look easy last time out, racing from dead last at the turn to win by a comfortable margin over 1800m. The ride from Reece Jones was flawless that day, and the pair map to get a similar run in transit here from the soft draw. This is his first look at 2000m, but after winning with plenty in hand, I don’t think he’ll have any problem seeing it out. Bet Now: Rosehill Race 6 The Valley - Race 7 3:20pm AEDT No. 2 Wild Planet Marabi looks tough to beat in the Australia Stakes , but I think Wild Planet poses a genuine threat at double figures. The Hawkes-trained six-year-old was enormous first-up in the Doomben 10,000 last year, finishing half-a-length behind Eduardo before turning in a disappointing performance in the Stradbroke . He hasn’t been seen since, but he did look in good order at a recent Flemington jump-out, while his fresh form also reads well. Bet Now: The Valley Race 7 Rosehill - Race 8 4:40
