The Most Memorable NRL Grand Final Rematches

Hình ảnh
The first grand final rematch of the NRL season is invariably one of the most hyped games of the home-and-away program. Early-season rust, among other factors, dictate that the fixture often fails to live up to the fanfare – but its also produced moments and matches that have become embedded in premiership folklore. Ahead of Friday’s showdown between 2021 grand final combatants Penrith and South Sydney, relive the most memorable GF rematches of the NRL era. ‘The Man’ Runs His Mouth (2000) Anthony Mundine endured one of the all-time rugby league backfires after talking trash in the lead-up to an early-2000 clash with Melbourne Storm, who had edged his St George Illawarra Dragons in the epic 1999 grand final. Spurred by the outspoken St George Illawarra five-eighth’s pre-match comments that the defending premiers were ‘nothing but pretenders’, the Storm defied an 0-4 start to the season by crushing the Dragons 70-10 in an MCG – equalling the third-highest team score in premiership h

2022 Karrakatta Plate Day Preview

Black-type racing continues this weekend in Perth with the running of the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate at Ascot.  We’ve run the rule over the entire nine-race card and offer our best bets below.  Race 1 - 2:22pm AEDT Westspeed Platinum Autumn Series Heat (1100m) Siding with Leica Jaguar for the second week in a row after running on for third over a touch shorter last Saturday.  He took a little while to get going after settling midfield but was still strong through the line finishing only two lengths off Snipillicious. Ran well for fourth over the track and trip two runs back and the stable clearly think he’s pulled up well enough to race on the quick backup. 2 Units Leica Jaguar Bet Now: Ascot Race 1 Race 2 - 3:02pm AEDT Schweppes Handicap (1100m) State Of Power is untried over 1100m but I think she might be looking for it now at this stage of her prep.  Simon Miller’s lightly-raced filly won by half a length two runs back and was seen doing her best work late to fin

What Sports Betting Apps Are Legal In DC?

Sports betting is active and legal within the District of Columbia’s city limits. There are three retail sportsbooks and 3 online sports betting apps in the city. One app, with the exception of kiosks, is not physically located, while one of the retail books does not have an app but plans to develop one that will only work when you’re in the same building where the retail book is located. According to district law, the GambetDC app is the only one allowed to propose betting alternatives from any location in Washington. Anyone over 18 years of age with an internet-connected device can access GambetDC from North Corner Boundary Stone to Marbury Point. BetMGM and Caesars by William Hill sportsbook are the other 2 online sportsbooks currently present in DC. While being the industry leaders, both are only available in certain district areas. So, suppose you’re near Capital One Arena, which is commonly known as the home of the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards. In that case, Caesa

Kyneton - Race 5 3:30pm AEDT No. 9 Heleva Deel Heleva Deel is a consistent type that looks capable of scoring a well-deserved win. The daughter of Dundeel made up ground from midfield to finish a nose second in a similar race here last start, and she only needs to hold that form to be a real factor. She’s drawn to get a similar run in transit from barrier 4 and should be very tough to hold out late. Bet Now: Kyneton Race 5 Kyneton - Race 6 4:00pm AEDT No. 2 Tydeus Tydeus was a clear winner on debut a couple of years ago at Warrnambool and looks more than capable of scoring on return. April 1st: The Easiest Betting Day of the NBA Season

Hình ảnh
April 1st marks a new month of NBA games. By then, only a week and a half of the NBA season will remain. Most teams will have determined their fate as winners or losers, meaning there will be plenty of tanking going on. As the new month turns, teams realize what they need to do to set themselves up for this year’s playoffs, or for the future of their franchise. As a result, games are very easy to predict and teams tend to cover their large spreads much more often. This pattern happens every year in April, but this year on April 1st, 10 games take place. Pacers @ Celtics Take Boston to cover. Indiana has shut down seemingly every player still in a sort of decent prime. Boston is banged up but it won’t matter. They are actually playing for something, while Indiana really needs to lose. The Pacers could have a real good roster next year with an elite head coach should they get a top pick, and they’re in line for pretty decent odds at jumping into the top three. Carlisle and Indiana

Race 1 - 12:10pm AEDT Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes (1100m) Semillion can win this year’s Kindergarten Stakes. The Team Hawkes-trained colt won the Inglis Banner on debut in October and was immediately put away, and he returned nice efforts in the Blue Diamond Prelude and Blue Diamond when resuming this year. He has been freshened since his last appearance and on exposed form, he’s certainly the one that I want to be with. 4 Units Semillion Bet Now: Royal Randwick Race 1 Race 2 - 12:45pm AEDT Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) Straight Arron can return to winning form in the Carbine Club Stakes .
