2022 Queensland Oaks Preview

Group 1 racing continues this Saturday at Eagle Farm with a capacity field of fillies stepping out in the Queensland Oaks .  The $700,000 staying test has attracted a strong crop of three-year-olds, including last week’s The Roses winner Barb Raider, Australian Oaks second place-getter Gypsy Goddess, and hat-trick hopeful, Aravene.  Twelve horses have completed The Roses – Queensland Oaks double over the last 15 years, while Chris Waller is hoping to win the race for a fourth time with double-digit roughie, Smirk.  To help you find the winner, we’ve run the rule over the entire field, and our thoughts on the 2022 Queensland Oaks can be found below.  1. Barb Raider (11)  Record: 12-5:3:2 Track: 1:1-0-0 Distance: 0:0-0-0 Trainer: Jerome Hunter Jockey: Craig Williams Odds: $10.00 On a quick backup after getting up to win The Roses right on the line last week thanks to a beautiful steer from Craig Williams. Warwick Farm Preview – Wednesday 1st June

We’re racing at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, June 1 st , and seven races are on the program. The rail will be left in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Heavy (10) range. Race 1 - 12:50pm China Horse Club’s The Chase Handicap (1200m) Regal Pom can return a winner in the first at Warwick Farm on Wednesday. The Press Statement gelding returned some decent performances last time in, and he was unlucky not to strike in any of his last three appearances. He’s had the benefit of a trial in the lead-up to his return and looks primed to strike. 2 Units Regal Pom Bet Now: Warwick Farm Race 1 Race 2 - 1:25pm Maiden Handicap (1100m) There’s virtually no form to study ahead of the second at Warwick Farm on Wednesday and several debutants are prominent in betting. I can’t find anything that I am particularly confident in, and I am happy to stay out. No Bet Bet Now: Warwick Farm Race 2 Race 3 - 2:00pm The Agenc

Daily Racing Tips – Tuesday 31st May

Hawkesbury - Race 5 2:35pm AEDT No. 7 Kyalla Kyalla is making her first start under new trainer Brad Widdup and rates as one of the main chances based on her recent trial form. The daughter of Fastnet Rock has run a place in a couple of hit-outs at Hawkesbury and Gosford, while her for, over the summer also reads well with a comfortable win at Canberra on the resume. She’s drawn to push forward and make her own luck on the speed and this looks a very winnable race fresh. Bet Now: Hawkesbury Race 5 Hawkesbury - Race 6 3:10pm AEDT No. 9 Elleves Elleves strips fitter for four runs back and looks set to peak now back to 1100m. Gwenda Markwell’s three-year-old did well to run third at Goulburn a couple of weeks ago after being held up at the top of the straight, and he should appreciate another genuinely heavy track with plenty of form to his name. Rachel King jumps in the saddle this time around and she should be able to find the box-seat from the low draw. Bet Now: Hawk

Daily Racing Tips – Sunday 29th May

Ballarat - Race 4 2:05pm AEDT No. 1 Dawn County Dawn Country should finally shed the maiden tag here.  Clayton Douglas’ five-year-old never really made an impact first-up at Warrnambool, but I don’t think the track or the tempo really suited him that day.  Fortunately, that race has produced a handful of winners since, and from a much kinder draw and with the blinkers on, I think this boy will be the next. Bet Now: Ballarat Race 4 Ballarat - Race 5 2:40pm AEDT No. 4 Ranch Hand Quite keen on Brookline here in her second run back.  The Hinchinbrook filly was held up at a crucial stage first-up at Donald where she finished down the track.  She won her maiden quite well here second-up at Ballarat last time in though, and this does look a slightly easier race lacking any real depth.  Bet Now: Ballarat Race 5 Ballarat - Race 6 3:20pm AEDT No. 4 Gundown Happy to have something small on Gundown here at double figures.  The High Chaparral gelding never really got goin

How Do College Football Rankings Work?

College football team rankings may look different every week. Three primary ranking systems are taken into account, each of which is explained below. College Football Playoff Rankings The NCAA College Football Playoff Rankings, or CFP, were introduced to the scene in 2014. Prior to it, the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) was taken into account. It is the most meaningful of the three systems utilized at the moment, mainly because it determines the teams that will be invited to partake in the playoffs, which determines the teams who may participate in a national championship. A selection committee determines the CFP rankings, which are typically composed of experts in the football scene, such as head coaches, and athletic directors, among many other roles. In 2015, there were two important additions to the committee: Lieutenant General Mike Gould Former Secretary of state Condoleezza Rice The main difference between the CFP and the rest of the ranking systems is that the latter is n

Is Money Safe With Bookies?

A bookie is an individual or an organisation that takes bets and pays out winnings. In the United Kingdom, bookies are regulated by the Gambling Commission, and in Ireland, they are regulated by the Revenue Commissioners. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some risks involved in gambling with bookmakers. Here are a few things to keep in mind: – Always check the terms and conditions of any bookmaker before you place a bet. This includes information on minimum deposits, maximum payouts, and any other special rules that may apply. – Be aware of the risk involved in any gambling activity. Remember that the odds are always against you, and you can never guarantee a win. – Don’t gamble with money you can’t afford to lose. Gambling should be entertaining, not a way to make money. – If you’re worried about your gambling, there are plenty of resources available to help you. You can find more information on the GamCare website . In conclusion, licensed bookies are safe. However,

AFL 5 Lessons Learned – Round 11 2022

Hình ảnh
Common sense, comebacks, upsets and beltings. Plenty of lessons were learned over Round 11. It’s time to put five of them together in a five-leg multi of hindsight we like to call FIVE LESSONS LEARNED. (1) No such thing as a safe lead* If the recent federal election taught us anything, there’s no such thing as a safe seat and in the world of AFL footy – there’s no such thing as a safe lead. Richmond found themselves five goals up in the third quarter on Friday night, not before Buddy and the Swans stormed home. Another dramatic finish! The @sydneyswans come back from 33 points down against @Richmond_FC to win by six points, Buddy boots five goals, and a questionable umpiring decision at full time. #AFL : https://t.co/zxOoGc8sUL #AFLSwansTigers #Bloods #GoTiges #AFLDeadly pic.twitter.com/N7bTPbdUMR — ABC SPORT (@abcsport) May 27, 2022 Brisbane gave the Giants a head start on Saturday arvo, before the Lions got the job done. Daily Racing Tips – Kingsford-Smith Cup Day Special

Eagle Farm - Race 6 2:03pm AEDT No. 4 Ranch Hand Ranch Hand mixes his form, but if he can produce a similar effort to his two-length win over the track and distance last start, he’ll be tough to beat.  Chris Waller’s colt rock-hard fit now at this stage of his prep and he’s typically done some of his best racing on rain-affected going.  Barrier 16 leaves him with work to do, but if Tommy Berry can get back and save his best for late, he’ll be in this for a long way.  Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 6 Eagle Farm - Race 7 2:38pm AEDT No. 5 Soxagon Soxagon is on track to start the BRC Sprint as favourite, and it’s not hard to see why.  Mark Currie’s talented speedster ate up the heavy conditions on the Gold Coast last start, racing four-wide and finding something extra down the straight to win by three lengths.  He should take plenty of improvement away on a quicker backup, and this is a much kinder draw with Brad Stewart retaining the ride. Expect him to be arriving late.  Be

NSW and Queensland selectors will assemble their squads for the 2022 State of Origin series opener over the weekend – and there’s sure to be a stack of talking points with one or two surprise selections. Teenaged sensation Selwyn Cobbo appears set for a Maroons call-up after just 19 NRL games, while a host of debutants are in line to help solve the Blues’ centre injury crisis. Take a trip through interstate footy’s annals and reminisce about Origin’s biggest bolters. Brad Izzard (NSW, 1982) Penrith rookie Izzard had just turned 20 and had only 12 first grade appearances under his belt when he was selected on the NSW bench for the 1982 series opener. The burly centre crossed for a match-sealing try on debut as the Blues recorded their first Origin win, before scoring a sensational 50-metre individual try in the game two loss after being promoted to the starting side. Izzard’s outing in the dour decider loss was his last for NSW until 1991 – an Origin record gap between appearanc
