2022 Christmas At Rosehill Gardens Preview

Racing returns to Rosehill on Saturday with a huge ten race card. Our full 2022 Ladbrokes Rosehill Preview can be found below. Race 1 - 12:20pm AEDT SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1800 METRES) The track is currently a good 4 and the rail will be out 5m. The first on the card is an 1800m event for the three and four year olds. Secret Glamour from the Maher / Eustace camp was an impressive last start winner over the mile at Sandown. She raced wide without cover and was still too strong for them.  The step up to 1800m will suit and I think she can win again. Rosovo hasn’t been far away in three runs this campaign.  He’s been getting back and doing his best work late.  The step up in trip looks ideal, he gets in nicely with Reece Jones’ claim and he should be able to settle closer from the inside draw. 2 Units Secret Glamour BET NOW: Rosehill Race 1 Race 2 - 12:55pm AEDT HIGHWAY HANDICAP (1500 METRES) The Dramatist was brilliant first up at Rosehill.  He then went to Newcastle wh

2022 Northerly Stakes Preview

The Northerly Stakes (formerly the Kingston Town Classic) marks the final Group 1 on the calendar this Saturday as a field of 15 steps out over 1800m at Ascot.   All eyes will be on the short-priced favourite Amelia’s Jewel following her win in the WA Guineas , while proven Group 1 winner Cascadian looks the main threat out of the Godolphin stable.   With $1.5 million on the line, check out our thoughts on each runner in our 2022 Northerly Stakes Preview below.   1. Cascadian (12)   Cascadian enjoyed a fruitful spring winning the Hill Stakes at Randwick and the Craven Plate over 1800m in succession. He was last seen making up big ground for fifth in the Champions Mile at Flemington in what was arguably the run of the race. The Godolphin seven-year-old is a perfect two-from-two over 1800m and rates a major threat to the favourite if James McDonald can find cover early.   BET NOW: Cascadian 2. Race 1 - 12:35pm AEDT Benchmark 78 Handicap (2000m) Brayden Star was a comfortable winner when making his Australian racing debut at Cranbourne a couple of weeks ago over 1500m. The step up in distance suits where he has won at his only attempt and he should take improvement out of that first up win. 4 Units Brayden Star BET NOW: Pakenham Race 1 Race 2 - 1:10pm AEDT Benchmark 78 Handicap (1200m) This is a big drop in class for Adele Amour who has been tackling black type races for the majority of this prep. Daily Racing Tips – Wednesday 30th November

Gosford - Race 2 1:00pm AEST No. 2 My Eloise My Eloise won by nearly three lengths at Hawkesbury last time out and is nearly a month between runs now.    The Capitalist mare led for most of the way and probably would have won by more if she didn’t get a little wayward down the straight.    Fitter second-up and on another dry track, she should prove very hard to beat.    BET NOW: Gosford Race 2 Geelong - Race 4 1:45pm AEST No. 1 Choquant Hard to get away from the favourite Choquant atop the market.    This son of former  Melbourne Cup  winner Shocking has finished runner-up in both attempts, most recently at Pakenham back in June where he was only run down over the final furlong.    The form out of that reads exceptionally well and he’s drawn to receive every chance with John Allen in the saddle.    BET NOW: Ladbrokes.com.au Gosford - Race 5 2:45pm AEST No. 6 Lovero Lovero was impressive on return here last month, stalking the pace over the track and distance t

Daily Harness Tips – Wednesday, November 30

Redcliffe - Race 2 6:20pm AEST No. 2 Swedish Starlet Swedish Starlet kicked off her Aussie career for Chantal Turpin at Albion Park just over a week ago where she lobbed into a lovely spot courtesy of some nifty driving from Pete McMullen and she found the line nicely into second behind Sheza Bonny Sheila in slick last fractions.  She will be better for that outing, faces a nice class drop and with even luck in running she really should be too good for her rivals.  BET NOW: Redcliffe Race 2 Redcliffe - Race 3 6:53pm AEST No. 7 Misstrepo This is a very even contest where any of these can win without surprising, but the one that appeals at value from a map point of view is Misstrepo.  There is a bit of speed off the front line with Mount Hercules, Allambie and Courageous Sam all expected to have a look at Rockslide early on, but he looks like doing enough to hold up, which will give Misstrepo a lovely sit just off the pace.  Watch for her to be dangerous late.   BET NOW

Gosford Preview – Wednesday 30th November

Gosford will play host to NSW’s major provincial meeting on Wednesday with a quality eight-race card.   We’ve run the rule over the entire meeting and offer our best bets below!  Race 1 - 12:25pm AEDT The slight step back in trip should suit Monastery nicely.  He was third at Hawkesbury a couple of weeks ago after copping some interference early over 2000m, a nice showing coming off a three-week let-up.   He’s been super consistent throughout his short career and looks the one to beat in this small field.   2 Units Monastery   BET NOW: Gosford Race 1 Race 2 - 1:00pm AEDT My Eloise won by nearly three lengths at Hawkesbury last time out and is nearly a month between runs now.   The Capitalist mare led for most of the way and probably would have won by more if she didn’t get a little wayward down the straight.   Fitter second-up and on another dry track, she should prove very hard to beat.   2 Units My Eloise   BET NOW: Gosford Race 2 Race 3 - 1:35pm AEDT

Geelong Preview – Wednesday 30th November

Eight races have been set at the Geelong Racing Club on Wednesday.   The weather is fine, the rail is in the true position, and our best bets can be found below.   Race 1 - 12:00pm AEDT Tricky maiden race to start with but I do like The Khan at a decent price.   The Jamie Edwards-trained five-year-old has placed in three of his nine starts so far, including last-start over a similar trip where he overcame a wide alley to finish second.   He was on a quick backup that day so a gap between runs might be just what he needs from an ideal draw with Jake Noonan retaining the ride.   1 Unit E/W The Khan  BET NOW: Geelong Race 1 Race 2 - 12:35pm AEDT Another race I’m not overly keen to dive into, but I do think Mighty Sapphire is deserving of his status as favourite.   The son of Russian Revolution has made only one start so far when fourth at Sale back in June.   He hit the line hard to finish less than a length off, a run that warrants respect given it was a heavy 9.

Ararat - Race 5 2:30pm AEST No. 1 Inthelapofthegods Inthelapofthegods was a winner over shorter two runs back at Traralgon and was within a length of the winner at Moe last time out.  He had to overcome a wide gate that day but still managed to hit the line hard carrying similar weight.   This race doesn’t look much tougher and he should appreciate a bit of juice in the track.  BET NOW: Ararat Race 5 Ararat - Race 6 3:00pm AEST No. 2 Squami It’s been a while since Squami last won a race, but he does look well-placed here having his first run back since June.  The Simon Zahra-trained five-year-old has typically done some of his best racing fresh with a pair of wins on the board, while he’s also two-from-two over this trip.  The wide gate is the main query but Damien Thornton has a very strong rapport with the horse that is hard to knock.  BET NOW: Ararat Race 6 Ararat - Race 7 3:30pm AEST No. 1 Let’s Sea Let’s Sea is six weeks between runs and looks well-placed

Kyneton - Race 5 2:00pm AEST No. 8 Red Jewels Red Jewels has gone up a nice price coming off a win at Benalla last time out.   The Redente mare led all the way over a similar distance and should appreciate a genuine tempo here with plenty of speed engaged.   She’s done most of her racing on wet tracks recently, so back on top of the ground should be to her liking. Maps to get a nice run in behind the speed and is three weeks between runs.  BET NOW: Kyneton Race 5 Kyneton - Race 7 3:00pm AEST No. 4 Amalfi Amore Interesting race for Amalfi Amore dropping back in class.   The Matt Cumani-trained four-year-old has mixed his form since resuming at Geelong but did show some improvement battling on well for fourth at Seymour a few weeks ago.   He’s seen nothing but wet tracks this prep, so some firmer footing looks to be the key to his chances.   BET NOW: Kyneton Race 7 Kyneton - Race 8 3:30pm AEST No. 5 Royal Rebellion Royal Rebellion won well at Geelong a few weeks
