2023 Chairman’s Stakes Day Preview

Group racing heads to Sandown this Saturday afternoon with a quality card of racing to get around. Our full 2023 Chairman’s Stakes Day Preview can be found below. Race 1 - 12:35pm AEDT Benchmark 78 Handicap (1000m) I willing to take a chance with Millane who was highly touted at the start of his last prep. I prefer the Peter Moody trained colt back at the shorter trip and the blinkers have been added for this first up assignment. We haven’t seen him at the trials but he is a classy colt if he can put it all together. 1 Unit Millane BET NOW: Sandown Race 1 Race 2 - 1:10pm AEDT Group 3 Chairman's Stakes (1000m) The Maher and Eustace trained colt Veecee couldn’t have been much more impressive when winning by 2.5 lengths on debut at headquarters. He jumped awkwardly that day but showed a really nice turn of foot to pull away in the concluding stages. I’m not sure the step back to 1000m is the best move but he has shown his class and has a fitness advantage on mos

2023 Eskimo Prince Stakes Day Preview

We have 10 races to assess at Royal Randwick this Saturday afternoon and 10 opportunities to build a bank. Our full 2023 Eskimoe Prince Stakes Day Preview can be viewed below. Race 1 - 12:20pm AEDT Listed Lonhro Plate (1000m) The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Sicilian looked the winner on debut when rounding the turn in the Group 3 Gimcrack at this track and distance back in October. The daughter of I Am Invincible was run over the last 100m but she has won both trials leading into this first up assignment and looks a bigger and stronger filly for this prep. 1 Unit Sicilian BET NOW: Randwick Race 1 Race 2 - 12:55pm AEDT Benchmark 78 Handicap (1600m) Cosmic Minerva was an impressive winner first up at Gosford and has not been beaten far at his last couple at Rosehill.  He chased gamely over 1500m last Saturday but ran out of time and the step up to the mile looks ideal at this stage of his prep. 2 Units Cosmic Minerva BET NOW: Randwick Race 2 Rac

Danka Kovinic vs Anna Bondar Over 21.5 Games Total @ $1.83 Seventh seed Danka Kovinic takes on Anna Bondar in the second round of the Lyon Open after both players carved out straight-sets wins on Monday.  World No.67 Kovinic chalked up a comprehensive 6-1 6-4 victory over Viktorija Golubic in the opening round. The 28-year-old Montenegrin has enjoyed a promising start to 2023, reaching the ASB Classic semi-finals in Auckland before going down to Coco Gauff.  Kovinic raced to a one-set lead in her Australian Open first-round clash against Lauren Davis but faded to lose 1-6 7-5 6-1. A clay specialist, she made the third round at the Australian Open and French Open in 2022.  Bondar, ranked 72nd, held off Nuria Parrizas-Diaz 6-4 6-4 in her opening assignment, holding serve throughout.  The late-blooming Hungarian is also coming off her first match win at a grand slam; in just her fifth major, 25-year-old Bondar beat Ana Bogdan in three sets at the Australian Open before taking fo

Canterbury - Race 4 3:05pm AEDT No. 1 Dynamic Impact Dynamic Impact found the winner’s stall here first-up over a touch shorter and was far from disgraced stepping up in grade at Rosehill a few weeks ago when fifth.    The Real Impact five-year-old found the line well after settling towards the tail of the field, and I think there’s definite improvement to come with a win to his name previously third-up.    The step back in class only strengthens his chances, while he’s the type of horse that doesn’t mind racing on dry or wet tracks.    BET NOW: Canterbury Race 4 Canterbury - Race 6 4:15pm AEDT No. 4 Journalism This looks a lovely race for Journalism to make it a double after bolting in to score first-up at Wyong.    The I Am Invincible four-year-old overcame some issues in transit to find the front at the top of the straight and draw clear, crossing the line with plenty left to give.    That was only his eighth career start, so there’s real room for improvement with

Geelong - Race 3 1:30pm AEDT No. 10 Nicodemus Nicodemus is a three-year-old with plenty of upside out of the Hawkes stable.  He debuted exceptionally well at Sandown last August when chasing home late for third, and while he might be better suited over further, another honest showing can be expected from a handy gate.  BET NOW: Geelong Race 3 Geelong - Race 5 2:45pm AEDT No. 5 The Claimant The Claimant strips fitter for two runs back, both coming in town at The Valley and Sandown. He was slow away but only gunned down over the final 100m last time out over further, while the form out of his first-up run does stack up quite nicely.  How he handles a soft track is the main query, but with a slight class edge and Damian Lane steering, he’s the one to beat. BET NOW: Geelong Race 5 Geelong - Race 6 3:20pm AEDT No. 3 Winds Of March Winds Of March shed the maiden tag comfortably at Pakenham last week and returns on a quick 10-day backup looking to go on with it.  The

Daily NBA Tips – Wednesday 1st February

Our Daily NBA Tips cover all the key games throughout the 2022/2023 NBA season and there is no better place to bet on all the action than Ladbrokes.  New York Knicks Vs Los Angeles Lakers 10:30am, Madison Square Garden The Lakers remain in the Big Apple for the second game of their back-to-back against the Knicks.   Darvin Ham’s side lost by double digits with LeBron out of the lineup, and it’s doubtful we see The King suit up for this one as he continues to nurse a sore left ankle.   That should create a favourable matchup for R.J. Barrett, who is coming off a 24-point game against the Nets on Monday.   Barrett’s total has been set at a generous 20.5, a number he’s cashed in six of his last 10 games.   The Lakers have the second-worst rating against opposing guards in the league, while they’ve also allowed the third-most points overall.   Tip: R.J. Barrett Over 20.5 Points  BET NOW: Knicks v Lakers Milwaukee Bucks Vs Charlotte Hornets 11:10am, Fiserv

He’s got a fitness edge over his rivals and the blinkers come off now for the first time.   0.5 Unit Delarenta, 0.5 Unit Mixed Spice  BET NOW: Doomben Race 1 Race 2 - 2:13pm AEDT Cascade Class 5 Handicap (1660m) Ghostwriter has let us down on a couple of occasions recently, but this still feels like his race to lose.   He

Heather Watson vs Yulia Putintseva Back Putintseva to Win 2-0 @ $1.95 Second seed Yulia Putintseva gets her Thailand Open campaign underway against British veteran Heather Watson, who is looking to inch her way back towards the top 100. Putintseva has won two of her three previous clashes with Watson, including the most recent at the 2018 Australian Open .  Former top-40 player Watson is currently ranked 160th after enduring a lean trot in the wake of her career-best Round of 16 appearance at Wimbledon last year.  The 30-year-old made the quarters of an ITF event Canberra (losing to compatriot Kate Boulter) in early-January and went down to Aliona Bolsova in straight sets in the opening round of the Australian Open.  Three-time grand slam quarter-finalist Putintseva is still striving to push her way into the WTA’s elite bracket, consistently holding a place in the top 50 without yet breaking into the top 25.  Following losses to big guns Belinda Bencic and Iga Swiatek at the
