Daily Racing Tips – The Championships Day 1 Special

Randwick - Race 6 2:15pm AEDT No. 1 Cylinder Golden Slipper runner-up Cylinder has a chance to make amends fourth-up in the Inglis Sires’ .  The Godolphin colt conceded a late challenge to Shinzo over the final furlong of the Slipper, but he was far from disgraced running out a strong 1200m. Off that, the rise in trip looks ideal, and he’ll appreciate getting back on a softer track.  His win in the Todman Stakes the start prior was full of merit and he maps to get a dream run in transit from barrier 4 under James McDonald. BET NOW: Randwick Race 5 Randwick - Race 7 2:55pm AEDT No. 6 I Wish I Win I Wish I Win looks a serious threat to world-class sprinters Nature Strip and Giga Kick in this year’s T.J. Smith Stakes .  The Peter Moody-trained four-year-old capped off a fruitful spring winning the Golden Eagle and has since returned a place in both the Lightning Stakes and the Newmarket Handicap at Flemington.  He clocked some slick times over the final 400m last time

LIV Golfers Return to August

One of the main storylines heading into the Masters weeks is how the PGA Tour fans and players will receive the LIV golfers that will be in the field this week. LIV Golf has 18 players under its membership participating in the masters, and fans can only wonder how well they will perform under PGA rules and regulations again. The liv golf league has an annual schedule of 14 events per season. On top of this, the events are shortened to 54 holes. Fans and players alike are wondering if the LIV players will be able to pace the PGA players based on volume of play. Cam Smith vs. Public Doubt Cam Smith, the reigning Open Championship winner, said that the public doubt only motivates him to want to perform better. “Obviously first and foremost for me, I’m trying to go there and play the best golf I can,” Smith told reporters after Thursday’s pro-am at Orange County National. “I think it is important for us to go there, really show a high standard of golf which we know we’re all capable o

Daily NBA Tips – Saturday 1st April

Indiana Pacers Vs Oklahoma City Thunder 9:10am, Gainbridge Fieldhouse I’m reluctant to use the word “tank”, but it sure feels like the Pacers have packed it in with only a couple of weeks remaining on the NBA season .  Indiana has lost seven of its last 10 games and four straight, not surprising for a team that has been missing Buddy Hield, Myles Turner, and Tyrese Haliburton down the stretch.  The Pacers have nothing left to play for, but the same can’t be said for a Thunder team that suddenly sits 10th in the West and just one game off the seventh seed Timberwolves .  OKC has been playing good ball of late, and they’ve also hold their own against the Pacers covering in five of their last seven meetings.  Matchup wise, the Thunder have a real advantage in most areas other than field-goal percentage, and with a stellar 17-12 record against the spread in non-conference games, I’m happy to back them to cover.  Tip: Back the Thunder to Cover the Line (-3.5 Points

Daily Tennis Tips – Saturday 1st April

KAREN KHACHANOV V DANIIL MEDVEDEV It’s an all-Russian showdown in the Miami Masters men’s semi, with 14th seed Karen Khachanov aiming to defy a rough rivalry record against red-hot fourth seed Daniil Medvedev. Medvedev boasts a 3-1 record against Khachanov, whose sole win was in Moscow in 2018. In their only two meetings since, Medvedev prevailed at the 2019 Montreal Masters and this year’s Adelaide International in straight sets. In easily his best Miami Open showing, Khachanov has reached an ATP 1000 semi for the first time since 2019. After holding off Tomas Etcheverry in straight sets, the big-serving 26-year-old has been in imperious touch. Khachanov demolished young gun Jiri Lehecka 6-2 6-4, outlasted world No.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6 6-4 and dominated 25th seed Francisco Cerundolo 6-3 6-2 in the quarters. He’s dropped just three games at the tournament – and only one in his last three matches. Medvedev, meanwhile, has won 22 of his last 23 matches in a sizzling post- Austra

Rugby Code Hoppers

Teen phenom Joseph Sualii is heading home, after starting his professional sporting career in the NRL, he is making the switch to rugby union, the sport he grew up with, in 2025. Admittedly the move itself isn’t actually that entertaining, but the outcry from certain high profile figures involved in NRL clubs, acting like scorned teenagers that have just been dumped has provided a funny side plot over the last few days. You know the one, he claims not to watch rugby union or care about the game, but has been caught tweeting about how entertaining schoolboy games are and how the Wallabies were robbed by that French referee in the Bledisloe last year (which they were). Great effort by Wallabies. Beaten after the final siren. A terrible referee call at the death gave All Blacks a shot at victory. They capitalized. Heartbreak for Wallaby fans — Phil Gould (@PhilGould15) September 15, 2022 Oh and he’s happy to chat to new Wallabies coach Eddie Jones. Eddie Jones brings a wealt

Daily Harness Tips – Friday, March 31

Albion Park - Race 5 8:10pm AEST No. 2 Carter Grant to win Carter Grant was somewhat surprisingly beaten first up from a break at Redcliffe just over two weeks ago by Emmaleen, but the run was far from ordinary, and he will be much better for the outing as well. He has trialled up since on this circuit when a well-beaten second to Hot And Treacherous where they ripped home in slipper fractions, but he wasn’t knocked about and he looks ready to show his best tonight. BET NOW: Albion Park Race 5 Albion Park - Race 6 8:40pm AEST No. 8 Bettor Keep Rocking to win Bettor Keep Rocking has had no luck with the barrier draws of late, but that has all changed here with the ideal trailing draw behind what will likely be a tearaway leader in Bee Gees Best. He got back in the run at his latest outing on this circuit and was noted making up many lengths in the straight wide on the course when fourth behind The Grogmother and Beach On Fire in a dash home. He will get every possible c

Wentworth Park - Race 4 8:19pm AEDT No. 2 Fusion Manu Fusion Manu has seven wins to his name from 18 career starts and has been placed a further four times. The son of Fernando Bale has always shown good early speed and nothing has gone right in his two starts at this track and distance in the past. He’s every chance of winning a race of this quality. BET NOW: Wentworth Park Race 4 Wentworth Park - Race 5 8:38pm AEDT No. 4 Zipping Sabrina It’s hard to look past Zipping Sabrina in the fifth event of the evening here at Wentworth Park with the bitch winning her last four in a row. She has won 10 of 25 overall including two by over 10 lengths recently and with even luck she is the dog to beat. BET NOW: Wentworth Park Race 5 Wentworth Park - Race 9 9:57pm AEDT No. 1 Connections He may be very short but Connections looks a good thing in the ninth race of the evening. Daily NBA Tips – Friday 31st March

Milwaukee Bucks Vs Boston Celtics 9:30am, Fiserv Forum The Bucks and the Celtics are arguably the two teams to beat in the East this year, so it’s great the NBA has cleared the rest of the schedule so we can get a taste of what an Conference Finals matchup might look like.  The Celtics are a hardy team that has been great on the road all year, but I’m firmly with the Bucks on this occasion laying -3 at the line.  Despite their record, Boston has been a difficult team to get a feel for over the last few weeks, losing winnable games against the likes of the Rockets, Jazz, and on Wednesday, the Wizards.  The Celtics have nights where they give up a lot of open looks from three, and I’m beginning to question their bench depth with Grant Williams playing a ton of minutes and Payton Pritchard now injured.  Robert Williams is also questionable for this game, which doesn’t bode well against a Bucks team that just recorded a big win over the Pacers last night – a result

2023 Clare Lindop Stakes Day Preview

Black-type racing returns to Morphettville this Saturday with the running of the Listed Manihi Classic and the Clare Lindop Stakes.  We’ve run the rule over the entire 10-race meeting and offer our best bets here! Race 1 - 11:02am AEDT The Junction Handicap (1100m) Competitive race to start the day but I’ve gone with Harley’n’rose on top. This two-year-old by Holler was good winning on debut, stalking the pace and finding the front over the final 100m to score by nearly 1.5 lengths over the same trip.  He’s been kept fresh for the run and his recent jump out was sound. Gets another dry track, draws to get the gun run, and can easily make it two-from-two at a good price.  2 Units Harley’n’rose BET NOW: Morphettville Race 1 Race 2 - 11:37am AEDT Croser Handicap (1600m) Sailors Book is a Victorian-based three-year-old that has shown plenty at the races in four starts to date.  The son of Merchant Navy broke maiden first-up at Werribee with a comfortable two-length wi

Bianca Andreescu Suffers Ankle Injury at Miami Open

Hình ảnh
Bianca Andreescu suffered a gruesome ankle injury during the second set of her match against Ekaterina Alexandrova on Monday at the Miami Open . Andreescu was experiencing a successful week in Miami prior to her injury. Andreescu had taken down young star Emma Radacanu and world #10 Maria Sakkari before having to retire in the round of 16. Before this week, Andreescu had been experiencing a difficult start to her 2023 season that has been decorated with injuries and mental health issues. What The Sportsbooks Have to Say Andreescu is ranked #31 in the world but when she went up against world #10 Maria Sakarri, Andreescu’s odds to win the match were quite short, as she was listed at +110. The translation of what this means is that sportsbooks feel she is a much better player than her current ranking would indicate. Injury Update Andreescu provided fans with an update via twitter today: “results show that I’ve torn 2 ligaments in my left ankle. It’s tough to say exactly how long it
